EastEnders viewers were gobsmacked as they discussed Kathy Beale’s real age on the soap.
Kathy has been looking for love on the soap at the moment, and has got a match with some help from her grandson Peter Beale.
Peter set up an online profile for her, but lied about her age.
He changed her age from 70 (the characters age), to 45.
Viewers couldn’t believe Kathy was 70, and went into meltdown on Twitter.
One said: “Hang on, Kathy Beale is 70?! #Eastenders”.
While another wrote: “Wait. So Kathy in #EastEnders is supposed to be 70??”
A third added: “Wait… Kathy Beale is SEVENTY YEARS OLD????”

“Anyone else in shock that Kathy Beale is meant to be 70 years old? #EastEnders”, typed a fourth.
Kathy is 70, which makes her five years older than the actress who plays her Gillian Taylforth.
Gillian is 65, and viewers gushed over her youthful looks as they watched her on EastEnders.
One fan tweeted: “In WHAT WORLD is Gillian Taylforth SIXTY FIVE?! tell me her secrets.”

Adam Woodyatt, who plays Kathy’s son Ian Beale made headlines recently as he looks slimmer than ever in recently released behind-the-scenes snaps.
In a photo taken by his co-star Luisa Bradshaw-White, the soap star looked even more buff than before in a white tee and jeans.

Adam’s waistline was visibly slimmed-down as he struck a pose before the lens.
His pals Kellie Bright and Danny Dyer could also be seen fooling around in the backstage selfie as the stars posed while socially distanced apart.
