Netflix has been hit with fierce criticism after cancelling a string of series this year.
Among the axed shows in 2020 include Ru Paul’s AJ and the Queen, The OA, and GLOW.
It is believed Netflix decides to renew or cancel shows by weighing up whether the cost of making it is proportionate to the number of viewers it receives.
And recently decisions on cancelling a show have been blamed on the Covid-19 pandemic.
But the cancelling of their favourite shows has not gone down well with many Reddit users.

One posted on the NetflixBestOf group: “Anyone else sick of Netflix cancelling every series that’s worth watching?
“One season and Netflix is done. Just when you’ve started to get into a series and fall in love with the characters, they cancel it.
“It’s so annoying, and frustrating, constantly trying to find something new to watch. Rant over. Thanks for listening.”

Another said: “The primary issue is that Netflix is cancelling shows before they have an opportunity to give a satisfying resolution.
“I feel they need to start putting more funding into miniseries or anthology series if this is what they’re going to keep doing.”
A third sad Netflix fan said: “Rest in peace, Santa Clarita Diet …. :(.”
Sharing their disappointment about GLOW being cancelled, one person said: “Yeah I’m still really upset about that one. It was such a good show. Netflix has no f****n clue what it’s doing anymore tbh.”

Wrestling comedy GLOW premiered in 2017 and soon got a huge fan following but got cancelled this month.
Explaining the decision, Netflix told Mirror Online: “We’ve made the difficult decision not to do a fourth season of GLOW due to COVID, which makes shooting this physically intimate show with its large ensemble cast especially challenging.”
The Big Show Show, a family sitcom starring the legendary WWE Superstar The Big Show premiered in April but Netflix recently announced the planned second season would not go ahead.
The topical comedy show Patriot Act with Hasan Minaj was cancelled in August 2020 after two years and 39 episodes.
A source close to the show told Forbes the show was cancelled as “Netflix weighs viewers against cost when making renewal decisions”, and “has struggled to succeed in the talk show category”.
I Am Not Okay With This was cancelled in August soon after it first aired.
This came after a second series had been planned and the writing team had begun work on the show.
According to reports uncertainty over the show as a result of the coronavirus pandemic caused the show to be axed.
Other shows axed include Santa Clarita Diet, Altered Carbon, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will also not be producing new episodes.
Netflix has been contacted by Daily Star Online for comment.
