Tipping Point was back on our screens on Friday as ITV aired the latest episode of the popular game show.
Host Ben Shephard welcomed four contestants to the television studio as they battled it out to win the highly sought after cash prizes.
Gary, Lauren, Gareth and Estelle all took it in turns to answer a series of general knowledge questions to win turns on an arcade-style machine.
Dropping tokens down a choice of four chutes, they each hoped to knock piles of the counters off a moving shelf – the more they collected, the greater the prize fund.
Viewers at home quickly noticed that the four contestants were opting to use the same drop zone and rushed to their keyboards to let off steam.
Estelle continued to pick drop zone one during her turn and fans couldn’t understand why she didn’t try another chute after she failed to move any counters.
Taking to Twitter, one fan moaned: “There’s a lot counters dangling between drop zone 2 and 3, so why is she going with with drop zone 1?”
Another ranted: “There’s some dangling between 2 and 3 so I’ll go for drop zone 1.”
A third person said: “Zones 2 and 3 have loads of counters and she’s putting it in 1?!!”
While a fourth moved: “Shouldn’t have gone for DZ1, Estelle!”
A fifth wrote: “For crying out loud they are hanging off zone 2. She deserves not to go through.”
Contestant Estelle was sent packing during the second round after making the decision to put her counter in drop zone one.
Viewers got even more irate after Estelle’s exit as remaining contestants Lauren and Gary continued to use drop zone one, despite the counters “hanging off” drop zone two and three.
One fan tweeted: “Er Hello? DZ2 is available?”
Another added: “1? WTF?”
A third said: “Someone take drop zone 1 away.”
Gary was the lucky contestant who made it through to the final round, with a chance to win the £10,000 jackpot.
Despite a strong start, Gary failed to win the jackpot and walked away from the show with £2,950.
Speaking about his prize fund plans, Gary told Ben: “That will get me to Italy.
“It’s been a brilliant day and I’ve enjoyed being here.”
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4pm
