Piers Morgan has hit out against his eldest son Spencer on Twitter over his views on the coronavirus pandemic.
The Good Morning Britain co-anchor, 55, has continued to be one of the loudest voices within the media discussing Britain’s handling of the deadly virus since it began circulating earlier this year.
But, Spencer, 27, has also voiced his own views on the pandemic and how it’s been handled by the government.
Taking to his Twitter account, which boasts 46,400 followers, the London socialite shared an infographic showing high Covid-19 survival rates for those under 70.
He tweeted: “Criminal that such a large portion of the general public have been tricked into being terrified of contracting this thing.”

However, Piers was left frustrated after noticing his offspring’s tweet and retweeted it with the message: “Once again, I remind you it’s not about young healthy people like you getting it… But who you/they give it to, as we are now seeing in rapidly rising & very worrying numbers in the UK.”
Referencing his dad’s new book, Spencer quipped: “Nothing to do with the point I was making. Wake up Piers.”

The father and son duo have clashed on more than one occasion during the pandemic which saw the world go into lockdown in March.
Spencer has previously tweeted: “Increased testing really has exposed the lie of a Covid, hasn’t it. Can’t believe it’s actually turned out to be not much more deadly than flu, just way more contagious.”

He added that we “either lockdown forever or get on with life.”
“There is no in between at this stage. Any other measures just delay the inevitable.”
After telling his son to “get a grip” Piers added: “No. There absolutely is an in-between option: suppress the virus as best we can until there’s a vaccine or drugs that stop people dying.”
Spencer recently shared on social media that the second lockdown made him flee the UK and head for Cyrpus, saying the “second wave dragged me 2000 miles.”
Earlier this year, he jokingly tweeted: “Goodbye dad,” after Piers insisted that those doubting the virus should unfollow him on social media.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
