Strictly Come Dancing are concerned that the latest edition of the BBC dancing competition will be delayed due to Prime Minister Boris Johnson ‘s rescheduled coronavirus press conference.
As the country nervously awaits Mr Johnson’s emergency talk, Strictly fans are concerned they are going to have to wait even longer to see their favourite couples take to the dance floor.
The conference, which is taking place at 10 Downing Street, is now being aired on the BBC at 6.30pm this evening – it was first set to take place at 4pm.
Strictly is set to air at 7.10pm , just 40 minutes after the press conference begins and fans are worried that the channel will move the show to a later timeslot.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “If Strictly gets cancelled tonight I will be fuming!”

Another moaned: “Can Boris hurry the f**k up. because I don’t want Strictly being pushed back or cancelled.”
A third said: “If Strictly‘s cancelled or even delayed, Boris is finished.”
While a fourth added: “Strictly better not be delayed. We need some certainty in our lives (or at least something that starts on time where we don’t already know the outcome).”

It comes after Little Mix: The Search was taken off air last minute to make way for Mr Johnson’s latest speech.
The talent show was due to air this evening at 6.10pm but will now air on Friday and Saturday this week.
Fans are not happy as it is with Strictly bosses after they decided to scrap the iconic Halloween special of the dancing competition.
There will be no scary make-up or frightening costumes on Saturday’s episode of Strictly as the 12 contestants take to the dance floor once again.
Strictly’s Halloween episode is always one of the most extravagant shows of each series.
Bros Johnson is set to hold a conference on Saturday night
The famous faces and their professional dance partners usually perform Halloween-themed routines, while the costume department pulls out all the stops to make sure the stars look devlishly good.
The judges usually get involved with the celebrations but Strictly’s executive producer Sarah James has confirmed that the 2020 spooktacular would be binned.
The difficult decision was made to the coronavirus pandemic, which has forced the series to run for a shorter amount of weeks.
Sarah told Entertainment Daily: “We will have Movie Week and Musicals Week but we won’t have Halloween Week this year.
“We have done a Halloween group number but Halloween would fall on the second week this year and we thought it would be a bit soon for a themed week.”

Taking to Twitter to discuss the decision, one fan moaned: “Gutted there’s no Halloween week this year, but there is still a Halloween pro number.”
Another complained: “No Halloween theme on @bbcstrictly tonight. Absolutely fuming I am.”
A third ranted: “Can someone please explain to me why the heck Strictly wouldn’t do a Halloween special when the show falls on actual Halloween?”
Halloween week is not the only iconic theme to be binned for the 2020 series.
Sarah also confirmed that the Strictly contestants would not be performing in Blackpool this year.
This weekend marks the first vote off of the 2020 series and one couple will leave the competition on Sunday night.
Musician and YouTuber HRVY and his dance partner Janette Manrara topped the leader board last Saturday, while Former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and her pro Anton Du Beke found themselves at the bottom.
Strictly Come Dancing is expected to air on BBC One on Saturday at 7.10pm
