This Morning took a tense turn on Tuesday, as Vanessa Feltz spoke over Nigel Farage during a debate about US politics.
The former UKIP leader is currently in Pennsylvania, campaigning for President Donald Trump as the votes roll in for the US election.
Speaking with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning, the tone changed when the conversation turned to Trump’s reaction to the recent riots.
In response to the Black Lives Matter marches, Trump was met by backlash when he tweeted: “When the looting starts the shooting starts.”
When Nigel tried to defend the controversial tweet on This Morning, Vanessa was quick to shut him down, speaking over him.

He said: “That’s a matter of fact, isn’t it. When looting starts in America, the police are out there with their guns.
She said: “Excuse me, Nigel! It’s not about when the looting starts, it’s about why the looting starts. It’s not when.
“I would also like to say, before we get carried away with this rhetoric here.
“The idea that we’ve got to live our lives is absolutely fine if you’re healthy, you can breathe, and you can go out and live your life and run your business.”

Vanessa argued that “if you’re stricken by this virus and you are ill and you’re on a ventilator” then “there’s no life to be lived or a business to be run”.
She added: “There’s a pandemic. Look how many Americans have already last their lives as Donald Trump stands there breathing in and breathing out with no mask all over the crowd.”
Nigel snapped back: “The alternative is bankruptcy.”
Later in the interview, Vanessa tried to mellow the mood in the studio, insisting she didn’t disagree with everything Nigel had said.
Referring to the impending UK lockdown, she said: “I think Nigel is absolutely right, nobody is looking forward to this.
“It’s going to be a hellish trial. However, it’s quite clear that why we need it is to be a foot pedal on the demands of the NHS.”
