Emmerdale Paddy 'to betray' Chas as actress Lucy Pargeter teases revenge twist

Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter has hinted Paddy Kirk could get revenge on Chas Dingle, after she flirted with another man behind his back.

Appearing on Loose Women today, the 43-year-old soap star hinted Chas’ could be about to get a taste of her own medicine, as her relationship with the vet begins to crumble.

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed Chas will return to the dales this evening, after spending months away in Scotland with baby Eve.

Her relationship with Paddy (Dominic Brunt) has grown fraught, after she snuck around behind his back, flirting with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).

Paddy has discovered the truth about her indiscretion and plans to confront the mother of his child in upcoming scenes, heartbroken by her betrayal.

However, Lucy hinted the storyline could take an unexpected twist, with Paddy turning the power balance of their relationship on its head.

She made the revelation when Loose Women star Brenda Edwards quizzed her about the fate of their romance, asking: “You’re trying to avoid Paddy – naughty. Are Paddy and Chas going to split? Can you tell us?”

At first, Lucy refused to say anything, before remarking: “It’s not going to be plain sailing, definitely not this week.

“There’s going to be a few kind of, more branches on the tree.

“Maybe something will be done to her that it makes her kind of think about what she might have done to Paddy.”

In reaction to the bombshell, each of the Loose Women characters cooed, as Janet Street-Porter exclaimed: “Well that’s plenty of clues!”

Lucy also touched on the fan reaction to the heart-wrenching storyline, agreeing with those who have described Chas as “selfish” and “flippant with the relationship”.

However, Lucy pointed out the closure of the pub during the lockdown, and the tragic death of their baby Grace in 2018, has made their relationship grow more strained.

She explained: “They’ve been through so much since losing Grace and then having Eve.”
