Liam Gallagher fans convinced Oasis are reforming after he teases announcement

Liam Gallagher has driven his fans wild after teasing he will be making a “celestial announcement” next week.

Although Liam was tight-lipped over what the announcement would be, some fans reckon he could be announcing new music or reforming Oasis, which disbanded in 2009.

In his tweet, Liam wrote: “Brothers n sisters keep your eyes pealed and your ears open I have a celestial announcement to make on Monday c’mon you know LG x.”

His excited fans rushed to the comment section to speculate over what Liam’s news could be.

One asked: “You getting oasis back together? Would be great if you did and heal the rift with Noel.”

A second said: “Oasis are getting back together?”

Another wrote: “Come on Liam lad please say you have had a word with Noel to stop making weird music and get oasis back together.”

“I hope you and Noel have made up. Life’s took short. And I need to see Oasis play live again,” wrote a fourth.

Liam’s latest record Why Me? Why Not was released in September 2019, following his 2017 debut As You Were.

Liam confirmed earlier this year that he would be releasing his third studio album in 2021.

He also promised to release “a little tune this year to cheer youse up,” in reference to the hardship caused to people by the pandemic.

A fan asked on Twitter earlier this week when the release date for Liam’s next song would be.

He replied: “Very soon be patient your [sic] not going anywhere are ya.”

When another follower asked if he had a title for the lead single, he replied: “Yeah man”.

Liam will be one of six headliners at next year’s Reading & Leeds festivals.

Earlier this week Liam’s brother Noel revealed the pair used to sing Christmas carols to Alex Higgins as kids because the snooker legend would always give them money.

The 53-year-old rocker has revealed that he and his younger sibling Liam, 48, would knock at two-time world champion Higgins’ house in Burnage, Manchester, where they grew up and treat him to some festive songs.

As he was always in a merry mood, he would send them on their way with cash.

Noel said: “Alex Higgins used to live in Burnage. He had this house that had triangular windows in, I’m not sure whether he bought the house because it had triangular windows or if he put them in.”
