Little Mix fans concerned for Jesy Nelson as she misses Children In Need

Little Mix fans took to Twitter on Friday night to express their concern after Jesy Nelson missed Children In Need due to illness.

During the annual TV event on BBC, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock appeared on a pre-recorded segment with Diddy Dick and Dom.

Perching behind a screen, the trio put their faces against puppets sitting on a sofa to give the impression they had shrunk.

Playing along with the joke, Perrie said: “Hi I am Diddy Perrie and I like food.”

“Hi I am Diddy Leigh-Anne and I love hot weather,” her bandmate added.

Meanwhile, Jade laughed: “Hi I am Diddy Jade and I like rice crispy cakes.”

After Dick and Dom asked if they could have some of her earnings, the starlet replied: “You can’t have any but Children In Need can.”

As the segment was aired fans quickly took to social media to talk about Jesy’s absence.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “I’m just thinking of how funny the Little Mix segment on #ChildrenInNeed could have been if Jesy was feeling better and able to take part.”

Another added: “Interesting. Jesy missing again from Little Mix. Wonder what’s going on there… #ChildrenInNeed.”

“Honestly if Jesy has left Little Mix I’m going to be so sad.

“They were the first band I ever saw live,” a third continued.

Meanwhile, fourth wrote: “Hope Jesy is okay.”

Last week, reps for Jesy announced she wouldn’t appear on the live Little Mix: The Search final due to illness.

They added that Jesy would also not be performing or hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards with the rest of Little Mix.

On Friday, Little Mix’s sixth studio album Confetti debuted on the UK charts at Number Two.

They were beaten to the top spot by Kylie Minogue.

Meanwhile, in Ireland, the girls claimed their third Number One with the record.

A rep for Little Mix and Jesy Nelson previously told Daily Star Online they would not be commenting on the singer’s absence further, aside from confirming that it is a medical matter.
