Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney urged to forget libel suit

Warring Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney have been urged to forget their £1million libel scrap and give the cash to charity instead.

The WAGs are due to kick off their court battle on Thursday but reality star Imogen Thomas has warned it could damage both them and their families.

Dancing On Ice contestant Vardy, 38, whose husband is Leicester City striker Jamie is suing the wife of Wayne Rooney for £1m after Coleen accused her of leaking stories about her private life.

Former Miss Wales and Big Brother contestant Imogen, 37, fought to clear her own name in court in 2011 after Rooney’s ex-United teammate Ryan Giggs accused her of blackmail by threatening to reveal their affair.

Imogen has urged Coleen and Rebek to scrap libel case

She told Closer magazine: “I’m totally Team Coleen. She must have felt confident in her evidence to expose the leak in the first place.

“The selling stories aspect doesn’t surprise me because it can be

difficult to know who to trust in this industry.

“While I understand that Rebekah wants to have it out and clear her name I can’t understand why she has decided to take it so far.

“Court cases are stressful – especially ones in the public eye. I’ve been there myself.

“Not only is it traumatic for you personally but it also causes stress for your family.

“Give the £1m you’re spending to charity or something else instead!

“I really hope they end up settling it behind closed doors.”

Imogen is thought to be currently single, but she has been on celebrity dating app Raya for over a year.
