Gemma Collins says she had third miscarriage in heartbreaking letter

Gemma Collin s has revealed that she suffered a third miscarriage in July of this year.

The 39-year-old reality star penned an open letter to Meghan Markle, after the US actress wrote a piece for the New York Times this week about miscarriage.

The former Suits star confirmed that she and her husband Prince Harry had lost their second child in July and spoke of her “unbearable grief” in the very honest article.

And now, Gemma has spoken about her own loss and said she too miscarried in July of this year.

Writing in The Sun, Gemma addressed Meghan by her first name and began: “Dear Meghan, I hope you don’t mind me writing to you like this.

“You don’t know me, and we’ve never met, but I cried when I read what you’d written about your miscarriage yesterday.

“Your sadness and grief leapt out of the page, along with your desire to comfort other women who have been through the same heartbreak.”

Gemma continued: “I am one of those women. Because like you I also had a miscarriage in July – one of the 10 or 20 women in a room of 100 that you wrote about who will know the particular pain of losing a longed-for baby.”

The blonde star went on to say that she has been trying for a baby for 10 years, but has had her “hopes dashed time and again by first one miscarriage, then another”.

Speaking about her most recent loss, Gemma admitted she thought she was just having really bad period pains.

However, her sister urged her to go and see a doctor – who then decided to send Gemma to hospital.

Gemma has had three miscarriages but says she’s not giving up on her dream of motherhood

“In a single instant, I learned that I’d been carrying a baby and lost it, meaning that once again I found my longstanding dreams of motherhood shattered into pieces,” she wrote.

Gemma went on to recall her first miscarriage that took place eight years ago, and her struggle to put on a “brave face” for the spotlight while burdened by “unbearable grief”.

The TOWIE star finished her letter to the Duchess of Sussex by thanking her for her honesty, after insisting that “miscarriages don’t discriminate, and the pain is all the same for us”.

Gemma was previously in a relationship with fellow TOWIE star James Argent, but they split up earlier this year.

However they were seen out for dinner together a few weeks ago, sparking reunion rumours.
