Strictly Come Dancing 2020 star and Made In Chelsea regular Jamie Laing has admitted, despite being confident on the dance floor and in his day-to-day life, he’s not completely sure of himself.
The Candy Kittens owner said he was self-conscious about his hairline after a pal mocked him in 2018, and eventually went to extreme lengths to try and correct the issue.
One of Jamie’s friends joked the 32-year-old was looking old compared to his then-girlfriend Heloise Agostinelli.
Now Jamie had confirmed he splashed out on a hair transplant to try and regain his looks.
Chatting on his podcast Private Parts, Jamie said: “My friend decided to go for a hair transplant and I decided to go with him.
“I think we got a little bit of a discount. But we decided to go to the best place ever.

“We went to Nottingham because apparently, that is the place of hair transplants.”
Recounting how the session went down, Jamie continued: “As I arrived in the clinic they went, ‘oh let me see’, and as I took my hat off they went, ‘well you don’t really need one’, and I went, ‘well we’re here now so we might as well do it’.”
Male hair transplants are one of the fastest-growing cosmetic surgery procedures.
Geordie Shore’s Gaz Beadle, I’m A Celeb star Jake Quickenden and Dancing on Ice contestant Joe Swash have all had hair transplants over the past few years.
Unlike Jamie, they opted for the KSL Clinic in Kent and Manchester – often favoured by reality TV stars.

The operation involves the removal of hair follicles from the back of the head where the hair is commonly thicker and implanting them one at a time at the front to create a new hairline.
Because of the intricacy of the operation, it takes over eight hours to complete – something Jamie says he wasn’t initially aware of.
The Posh lad continued: “They said it’s going to take eight hours. I was like, ‘are you kidding me?’
“I said, ‘well what’s the treatment process for how many months and weeks?’
“They said it could take up to a year. I was like, ‘are you f*****g joking?’ It’s going to take a whole year.”

Despite his reservations, Jamie went through with the surgery but opted to keep his hair short to make it look more uniform until the new follicles started to grow back.
“It’s going to grow out, like hair. I don’t have hair at the front of my head,” he added.
“Also, do you want to know the best thing about all this? I didn’t realise this also, when you get the hair transplant at the front that hair never goes.
“So if you start to recede bald back you’re left with just two bits at the front of your head like two horns. The good thing is it’s non-reversible. You can never ever, it’s not like a tattoo you can get it lasered off you can never change it.”
He cheekily added: “I paid for it. But now I’ve just told anyone anyway. Could’ve got it for free.”
Jamie is the bookies’ favourite to be booted out of Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday night after he and his dancing partner Karen Hauer found themselves in the bottom two.
