Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has defended Katie Price after she was widely criticised for putting makeup on her daughter.
The former glamour model, 42, shared pictures of her posing with daughter Princess, 13, wearing makeup and showing off her new hair cut last week.
Princess’ face was caked with makeup as she posed for the camera with Katie.
In one snap the youngster was seen with straight hair, pouting with pink lip gloss and fluttery eyelashes.
Katie, who wore a pink jumper to match her daughter’s in the snaps, wrote in the caption: “Me and my gorgeous mini-me daughter Princess,” followed by two red heart emojis.
On another snap Katie wrote: “Princess had her makeup and hair done professionally done just for fun. Thank you @fern_makeup and @joel_maghair21 did hair, my little beauty queen.”

Many fans told Katie that Princess was too young to be wearing makeup.
But Kym, who also presents breakfast TV show Morning Live, rushed to Katie’s defence.
The presenter said it “isn’t a bad thing” as she was also happy for her daughter to wear makeup when she was a similar age.
In her OK! magazine column this week, Kym, who has daughters Emily, 23, and Polly, nine, wrote: “I saw that Katie Price came under fire for allowing her 13-year-old daughter Princess to get her hair and makeup done.

“She did look very grown-up, but maybe people are forgetting she’s a teenager and experimenting with your look is very normal at that age.”
Kym also revealed that as a teenager she would also don makeup when she was at school.
She said: “I was sneaking in makeup to wear at school at about 14, and my eldest daughter Emilie started playing with it around the same age.
“I’m happy for my daughter Polly to dress up and play, as long as it’s in the comfort of our own home and around family and friends.”
Many social media users rushed to tell Katie made a bad choice allowing Princess to wear makeup.

One wrote: “She’s 13 sorry but I don’t agree and don’t like it.”
A second added: “She looks beautiful as her normal self she doesn’t need makeup.”
Not all people criticised Katie though, with many rushing to the comment section to compliment the youngster’s makeover.
One wrote: “My goodness, Princess is beautiful.”
Another added: “She’s a little stunner,” before a third added: “Every little girl’s dream! My daughter would love this.”

Some critics also accused the star of breaking lockdown rules.
One said: “Take it it’s ok for makeup artists and hairdressers to work during a lockdown if it’s for a celebrity.”
But Katie hit back claiming the snaps were taken before lockdown.
She said: “Throwback pictures are allowed to be posted when I like stop judging all the time it’s so boring.”
