Coronation Street viewers were left stunned during Friday’s episode as killer Gary Windass (Mikey North) appeared to let creepy businessman Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) get away with sexually assaulting his teenage sister Faye.
Gary could hear Faye’s screams for help as he entered the Bistro at the start of the hour-long special.
Faye yelled: “Get off me” as she remained trapped inside a room with evil Ray.
Gary shouted and banged the door and demanded that his younger sibling left the room.
A worried Faye eventually opened the door and quickly escaped while buttoning up her blouse.
Ray could be seen doing up his belt and trousers and quickly told Gary that he got the wrong end of the stick.
Gary angry told Faye to leave the restaurant and he shouted but Ray but fans expected more from the Weatherfield bad boy.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “How did Gary not absolutely batter Ray for assaulting Faye like that?”
A second person posted: “So you’re telling me Gary was fine with Ray about to rape Faye.. wtf.”
While a third viewer wrote: “Stunned Gary didn’t batter rapey Ray.”
A fourth said: “Is that it Gary? Should have given Ray a kicking.”
Gary stopped Faye’s from enduring yet another sexual encounter with her boss as he arrived to hand over the signed factory contract for Ray, having agreed to sell to him.
Corrie fans will remember that Ray appointed Faye as the assistant manager of the Bistro recently and lured her to his hotel suite to taste wine to celebrate her promotion.
He later blackmailed her into having sex with him in disturbing scenes.
Faye had to endure the grotesque situation as Ray tried to force her to have sex with him in his bath in order to keep her job.
Later in the episode, Faye told Gary that she didn’t want to involved the police.
Will Gary find out that this is not the first time Ray has manipulated Faye?
