Carol Vorderman has travelled back in time with her latest hairstyle, opting to return to her natural brown roots ahead of her 60th birthday.
The 59-year-old radio star, who will turn 60 on Christmas Eve, has been working caramel blonde locks for years, styled in feathered layers.
However, taking to Twitter this week, Carol debuted a chic new look, swapping her blonde tresses for a shade of chocolate brown.
With a blunt fringe sweeping across her forehead and a choppy shoulder-length cut, Carol worked a similar ‘do to her early years as a presenter on Countdown.
While Carol has worked a number of looks over the years – from The Rachel haircut to a perm – she rose to fame in the late 80s with a brunette fringed look on the Channel 4 quiz show.

Tilting her head to one side in the selfie, the mum-of-two looked radiant, opting to go without makeup as she showed off the new look.
Carol paired the retro ‘do with a skintight white turtleneck, designed by designer brand Guess.
In her caption, she asked fans for their feedback, saying: “I’ve gone a little darker and fringier for Christmas….what think you Yoda?”

The comment section below was filled with compliments, as her fans insisted they preferred her hair when dyed a shade of brown.
One said: “Just like the good old days Carol.”
“You really suit it darker xx Looks luvly mrs….Ditch the blonde xx,” added a second.
“Fabulous hair Carol, love the colour, it’s very soft and flattering and the fringe sets it off beautifully, gorgeous as always x,” wrote a third.

Even Carol’s celeb mates couldn’t help but swoon over her fresh chop, with singer Imelda May exclaiming: “Hell yeah!!!!”
Carol was quick to reply to the Johnny Got A Boom Boom songstress’ remark, comparing her new chop to Imelda’s fringed barnet.
As humble as ever, Carol joked: “I’m like your aged, heavier and altogether less talented doppelganger with this hair.”
