Holly Hagan has claimed she was forced to borrow money from her mum after Geordie Shore didn’t pay her.
The reality TV star says she wasn’t paid anything for the first three series of the MTV show.
In 2011, the 28-year-old made her debut on the show when she was just 19.
The TV personality has revealed she was so skint and had to take money from her mum, reports The Mirror..
“We were very naive to begin with, working for FREE for three seasons, quitting stable jobs and having no income for a long time.
“We’re 10 years into the job now we know our worth and what we’re capable of.”

When a fan quizzed her how she got by without money, the curvy beauty shared: “We didn’t. I had to borrow money from my mam that she didn’t have.
“Then, we all had to have a sit down with MTV to tell them how much we were struggling (only some of us though as the popular cast mates were earning from club appearances etc). They then decided to pay us a small fee to help us get by.”
However, Holly admitted that her finances are in great shape now – especially as she rakes in the cash as a social media influencer which came off the back of her becoming a household name on MTV.

Sharing on her monthly earnings, which she admits are inconsistent, she told: “One month could be 4k, 10k, 500 quid, 25k. Honestly, it can vary so much. Some months might be really good if you’ve had a couple of jobs pay in at the same time. Other months like January are so quiet you might earn nothing,” the star explained.
“You have to be really careful in this industry as you never know what your next pay cheque will be.”
She went on to explain” “Whatever we earn, 20% goes to the agent, 20% to VAT and 20% to tax, so we’re actually only left with 40p from every £1.”

Holly is preparing to marry her footballer fiancé Jacob Blyth in 2021 after the coronavirus pandemic delayed their nuptials.
The bombshell got engaged to Jacob in June, last year, after he popped the question during a luxury trip to Ibiza.
