Christine McGuinness wants a 'quiet' Christmas as kids 'struggle with change'

Christine McGuinness has a special present for her three kids… a quiet Christmas.

Most Brits are moaning about having to scale back their celebrations this year over virus fears.

But because the model and her comedian hubby Paddy’s kids have autism, it will be perfect for them.

Christine, 32, said to Daily Star: “Our children really struggle with change.

“Christmas can be very overwhelming for them and after the year we’ve had, we just want to keep things as calm as possible!

“With so many changes already, we are going to have a quiet Christmas with just the five of us.

“For us, having no visitors really works well. Although we miss seeing family and friends, for Christmas Day we just want really happy children.”

This Christmas will also be extra special for the McGuinness clan because they’ll be spending it at their new £2million mansion in Cheshire.

Christine said: “We will be having our first Christmas here. We’ve been renovating for three years and hope to stay here forever.”

Earlier this week, Christine prompted an outpouring of support from her fans when she posted an emotional video to Instagram.

Christine’s mum is suffering from breast cancer and is currently shielding in hospital, with doctors and nurses giving her constant care.

Growing upset on the family’s move-in day, Christine took to Instagram stories to discuss her heartache, wishing her mum was by her side as they unpacked in their “dream home”.

Tearful as she opened up to her followers, she said: “I feel like I’m all over the place today, I feel like I should be so happy we’re moving house and this is literally our dream home that we’ve been building for years.

“I’d give it all to have my mum here, I feel like I’ve got no one to talk to and I feel like I’m all over the place.

“Everyone is unpacking boxes but my head is just not there because my mum should be there with me and she’s still in hospital.”
