EastEnders fans say Sharon's guilty of Ian attack as they 'work out' revenge

EastEnders viewers have predicted Sharon Mitchell is the mystery attacker in Walford, intent on getting revenge for the death of her son Denny.

Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) was bludgeoned in the Queen Vic and left for dead, with Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) appearing as the number one suspect in the investigation.

The EastEnders regular is responsible for the death of Sharon’s son Denny, having locked him downstairs during the ill-fated boat party back in January.

Realising the vessel was sinking, Ian tried to help Denny to escape the boat, but the teenager drowned, leaving the party in a body bag in tragic scenes.

Is Sharon behind the attacks?

Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) learned Ian had a part to play in Denny’s death, and tried to tell Sharon (Letitia Dean) the truth – but she refused to believe her.

However, on Tuesday’s episode, when Tina tried to prove her innocence, Sharon’s reaction to her desperate pleas got viewers thinking.

Taking to Twitter, fans of the soap predicted Sharon was the one who attacked Ian, teaming up with Dotty to get revenge on her lying husband.

One said: “It’s obvious that it’s Sharon who’s out to pay Ian back for the death of Dennis. She’s behind the attacks.”

“What if it’s Sharon that’s after Ian because she found out about Denny and she married him to get his money.,” added a second.

And a third chimed: “So hope Sharon and Dotty are working together against Ian? That will be a surprise.”

“Am I the only one who thinks Sharon and Dotty are secretly working together to avenge Denny’s death and terrorising Ian??” wondered a fourth.

If Sharon is responsible for leaving Ian for dead, how will he react when he learns the truth?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
