Little Mix babes celebrate Jade's birthday – but Jesy Nelson stays quiet

Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards made sure band mate Jade Thirlwall’s birthday started with a bang as Jesy Nelson kept birthday wishes offline.

The Little Mix girls paid tribute to her on social media as she celebrated turning 28 on Sunday, writes The Mirror.

Perrie uploaded an adorable collage of the two of them holding hands since they found fame together nine years ago.

She wrote alongside the photo: “Happy birthday to my wife @jadethirlwall.”

Leigh-Anne posted to celebrate the big day and uploaded a photo of Jade backstage in her Strictly costume and the Star captioned the picture: “The biggest of happy birthdays to this absolute beautiful incredible soul.

“My rock always and forever, you already know. Love you so much @jadethirlwall enjoy your day!”

She then shared a photo of the pair backstage at a gig and said: “Booty luv. They not ready!”

Jesy, however, stayed offline weeks after quitting the group and hasn’t yet returned to social media following the news of her exit.

Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jade shared their first snap without the Jesy on Christmas Day as they sent a festive message to fans on their social media accounts.

Following the difficult year for the group after they transformed into a trio in December, they wanted to give their fans a lift with a sweet message for the New Year and look towards 2021.

The girls are still coming to terms with Jesy’s decision to leave, but have vowed to carry on as a threesome.

The captioned it: “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Mixers. We hope you have the most magical day xx”.

Jesy confirmed she was stepping aside to focus on spending time with her loved ones following a tough period.

In a candid statement, she wrote: “The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health.

“I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

“There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin the process.”
