Reality star Ferne McCann has been hit by a backlash after documenting her post-Christmas getaway to South Africa.
The former TOWIE regular, 30, recently enjoyed a festive trip to Dubai. and now she’s decided to jet off to another exotic location, despite living under strict Tier 4 rules back in Essex.
The latest restrictions mean that travelling abroad is currently banned for those living in Tier 4, unless for a permitted reason including work purposes.
Ferne didn’t explain why she has travelled across the world during a global pandemic as she kept her fans updated on her whereabouts on social media.
She took to her official Instagram page over the weekend to share videos and snaps of her latest luxury holiday, showing off where she’s staying and enjoying local delicacies.

In a post promoting her fitness programme, Ferne slipped into a black bikini with views of the South African hills in the background.
While a majority of fans rushed to comment on her stunning figure, others questioned why Ferne travelled during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
One of her 2.6million followers penned: “She broke Tier 4 rules to go to South Africa, but she’ll no doubt claim it’s a business trip.”
A second person wrote: “Essential travel???”

While a third person posted: “These people really don’t care. Clearly this pandemic only applies to the poor.”
Another asked: “Is this Cape Town?”
Daily Star has contacted Ferne’s representatives for comment.
The former I’m A Celebrity contestant also uploaded a video of the “absolutely stunning” mountains, and a short clip of herself out and about enjoying some sushi.
She added her location as The Codfather seafood restaurant in Cape Town in one of her videos, which was shared on her Instagram story.
Ferne’s three-year-old daughter Sunday is also on the trip as well as her close friend Carl Cunard.
South Africa has become the first country on the continent to register more than one million Covid-19 cases, it has been reported.
It comes just days after authorities confirmed that a new, faster-spreading, coronavirus variant had been detected.
Some hospitals and medical centres have reported a huge rise in admissions, putting a heavy strain on resources.
