Pro-skater Alex Demetriou has seemingly moved on following the breakdown of his marriage to his former wife, Dancing On Ice co-star Carlotta Edwards.
The 29-year-old, who revealed in May this year that he and Carlotta “had separated,” appeared to be loved-up as he wrapped his arms around Canadian-born Julia Mercer.
Julia, who describes herself as a former figure skater and previously starred in Disney On Ice’s Frozen, shared an adorable festive snap of the pair posing lovingly by a Christmas tree with the location of Blackpool tagged.
The stunning blonde captioned the two sweet images: “Hope you have as merry of a Christmas as I am.”

To which the ITV professional corrected: “As we are having,” followed by a trio of red love heart emojis and a kiss.
It’s unclear how and when the two skaters met, however, Julia was the first to go public with their romance, sharing a cosy autumnal image of them both together back in November.
Alex was quick to comment on the post how much he was missing the former Disney star, as he wrote: “Miss you so much.”

Earlier this year, Alex took to social media to confirm that his six-year marriage to co-star Carlotta Edwards had broken down, announcing that the pair would now be going their separate ways.
His brief statement read: I’m Sorry I have been quiet on social media recently but it’s been a tough time for me personally.
“Carlotta and I have separated.
“Although it saddens me that we can no longer be together, I feel this is best for both of us.”

He added optimistically: “I’m looking forward to what the future will bring but in the meantime let’s all stay home and stay safe.”
Ironically, Alex also met Carlotta when the pair were both performing for Disney on Ice at the age of 19.
Soon after being partnered with one another, Alex popped the question in 2014 and the couple tied the knot just months later in a in Huntsville, Alabama.
