The Cabins is ITV 2’s latest answer to a dating show and it looks to be just the delicious winter offering viewers have been waiting for following the events of 2020.
Next week brand new reality dating series The Cabins will launch onto screens and fans are already chomping at the bit to delve into all the juicy gossip as a brand new group of singletons head over to the wintry landscape.
The cast will only be told who they’re coupling up with as they move into their cosy log cabins on the first day.
Beginning on Tuesday January 4, viewers will be able to watch the show’s initial three couples go on their first official dates as soon as they settle in, and then the romance can really begin.
The wooden cottages come complete with hot tubs, fire wood burners and plenty of twinkly fairy lights outside, creating just the right atmosphere for a post-festive TV treat.
“Nestled together in their intimate cabins, the singletons will have quality time to really get to know their date,” ITV revealed.
“From heartfelt moments or declarations of love, to awkward silences and difficult dating conversations, viewers will be able to follow all the antics and find out if the sparks fly or quickly fizzle out.”
The channel also teased how the romantics will have to make some incredibly difficult decisions very early on in their endeavour to find true love.
“Having made it through the first 24 hours they then have to decide if they would like to spend more time together – or call it a day and walk away,” the ITV spokesperson continued.
The first trailer for The Cabins delivered plenty of tantalising glimpses into the new series, which is sure to get temperatures soaring even in the bitter cold climate.
The abodes also feature faux fur throws, decadent furnishings and of course plenty of luxurious sofas for the couples to cuddle up on.
The main catch of the dating show is that the nervous singletons are forced to move in together on the first day.
Giggling at another of her castmates, one hopeful noted: “Your face looks terrified,” as the newcomer admitted “I’m so scared right now”.
Teasing a return to traditional dating for eager viewers, the voiceover also declared: “Give up the ghosting. Forget the catfishes. Stop being thirsty. Dating just got a reality check.”
The clip teased plenty of drama to come as the love-seekers are forced to decide whether to continue on their cabin romances or call it a day as the series unfolds.
The Cabins starts on ITV2 and ITV Hub on January 4 2021.
