Love Island 2016 star Zara Holland allegedly tried to board a plane back to the UK in Barbados to try and avoid being admitted to a quarantine facility.
Zara, 25, and Elliott, 30, had planned to celebrate New Year in the exotic location, but were held on suspicion of flouting the country’s Covid regulations, according to The Sun.
The pair could now face criminal charges including endangering the live of others, which could lead to an £18,000 fine and a year in prison.
According to The Sun, Zara and Elliot were swabbed when they arrived in Barbados on Sunday afternoon and had to isolate in their hotel room until they got their results.

Elliott was then given a positive test, which led to the pair being given red identity bracelets and being taken to the Paragon Military Base, which has been turned into a coronavirus quarantine centre.
But the publication claims that before health officials could come to collect them, Zara and Elliot cut off their wristbands, booked a flight and went to the airport in a taxi.
The wristbands were said to have been found by a member of staff at the plush hotel, who then called the police on the couple.

Zara and Elliott are now reportedly being held on a Covid ward in the St Lucy Hospital in Northern Barbados.
Island chief medical officer Dr Kenneth George confirmed that several British tourists have flouted the Covid rules.
He said: “There are three tourists who are of special interest. Two are in quarantine and one in police custody.
“Two were apprehended at the airport. This is a police matter and I trust that the appropriate evidence will be submitted.”
A spokesperson for Barbados’ Ministry of Health and Wellness also said: “We have had several verified complaints of breaches of Covid-19 protocols with respect to visitors in quarantine.
“Police have held for questioning at least three tourists in relation to alleged breaches.
“These rules and regulations have been put in place to protect workers in the hotel sector, and the rest of the country.
“We will take firm action against any individuals who breach protocols.”
A representative for Zara has been contacted by Daily Star for comment.
