Pussycat Doll star, Kimberly Wyatt, claims that BBC bosses turned her down for Strictly Come Dancing due to her dance experience.
The singer said she was denied the chance to be considered for the series following bandmate’s Ashley Roberts’ appearance in 2018, which led to a row over whether it was a fix by fans.
Kimberly told the Sun: “From any chats that I’ve had, Strictly feel that I’m too professional to be a contestant. So much as I’d love to learn ballroom, my dancing experience holds me back as a contestant.”

The 38-year-old trained dancer began dancing in her teens and appeared in Nick Lachey’s music video Shut Up.
Robin Antin, the creator of The Pussycat Dolls, was the choreographer and asked Kimberly to be in the group.
The star also said she wasn’t happy with the 538 complains regarding the Dolls’ sexy costumes during the X Factor and The One Show performances last year.

She added: “It makes me sad people are so hung up on costumes.
“Pussycat Dolls stand for being empowered females owning their space and being there for each other.”
She has previously discussed criticism aimed at the group, following a performance on Australian morning show Sunrise, which left some viewers angry.

Speaking to news.com.au, she said: “I thought we were beyond this, but obviously the conversation needs to continue.
“We’re warriors when we step on stage, throwing everything into it. It’s unfortunate that it’s so misunderstood by so many people.
“Luckily we have a presence online now and we can help people understand us, understand dance, understand what intention means as a performer.”
