EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite opened up about the “inspirational” star Barbara Windsor this week, ahead of the legendary actress’ funeral this Friday.
Veteran actress Dame Barbara sadly died at the age of 83 on December 10, bringing her lengthy battle with dementia to an end.
Appearing on Wednesday’s Lorraine, the former soap star shared the special way she said goodbye to Babs, with many unable to attend her funeral due to Covid restrictions.
Chatting to host Lorraine Kelly, Tamzin admitted she’d donated to Barbara’s charity, helping to fund further research into Alzheimer’s.
She said: “If you wanted to send flowers you can send flowers, or you can donate.”

Reminiscing with host Lorraine, she remembered Barbara as being “absolutely incredible in every way”.
‘If you were lucky enough to know her she was an inspiration as well,” she added.
Tamzin also praised Babs’ relationship with her husband, with the pair marrying in 2000, and Scott remaining by her side until her tragic death.
Branding their romance as “magical,” Tamzin added they were “both such lovely people”.
Lorraine airs on weekdays at 9am on ITV.
