Dancing on Ice contestant Joe-Warren Plant has shut down rumours that he’s dating his skating partner Vanessa Bauer after weeks of speculation.
The pair will make their debut on the ice this weekend as the ITV competition makes an explosive return to our screens.
Joe, 18, and German beauty Vanessa, 24, have dominated the headlines ever since they were revealed as dancing partners back in October last year.
Since signing up to the ice-skating show, the Emmerdale actor has gone his separate ways from long-term girlfriend Nicole Hadlow.
However, Joe has slammed reports that he and Vanessa are now an item and insists they’re just friends.

Speaking to Daily Star and other press, Joe explained: “With Dancing on Ice, it’s about telling a story and engaging with the audience and the judges.
“So you have to have a certain level of chemistry between you and your partner.
“I think everybody saw we’re getting on so well and assumed something was going on, but there isn’t.”
Joe, who is the youngest-ever celebrity to take part in Dancing on Ice, went on to reveal that he and dancing queen Vanessa get on so well because they are both competitive people.

“We’re both dedicated to the show and trying the best we can,” he said.
“Vanessa has never not been in the final so she’s very driven and competitive.
“I’m also a competitive guy so we work well together.”
Vanessa joined the Dancing on Ice family back in 2018, and ended up winning her very first season with X Factor hunk Jake Quickenden.

The ice-skating bombshell was partnered with Love Island’s Wes Nelson in 2019 and the pair ended up coming in second place to Strictly Come Dancing’s James Jordan and Alexandra Schauman.
Vanessa and Diversity dancer Perri Kiley ended up runners-up last year, this time to former EastEnders actor Joe Swash and Alex Murphy.
Joe and Nicole, 23, reportedly broke up after a series of rows and the soap star says the show has helped him keep his mind off his split.
He said: “Dancing on Ice has come at a good time for me physically and mentally but relationships are hard to kind to deal with.
“It has helped taking my mind off it slightly but I’m enjoying having to focus and train everyday.
“It helps take my mind off it but things are still tough to be fair.
“I’m looking forward to getting the show started.”
Dancing on Ice returns to ITV on Sunday at 6pm
