Piers Morgan calls US radio host 'c**k-womble' as they clash in heated Covid row

Piers Morgan is not one to hold back on Twitter, and Friday was no different for the Good Morning Britain host.

The 55-year-old star became embroiled in a heated Twitter spat with US radio host Pat Dixon about coronavirus deaths, and neither of them held back.

The feud began when Piers retweeted a news story about “Covid deniers” refusing to accept diagnoses.

Piers wrote alongside it: “Disgusting… and a direct result of high-profile idiots on here constantly downplaying the virus even as hospitals get overrun. How do they live with themselves?”

Pat was quick to reply and said: “It’s the numbers, Piers, you jacka**. Avg age of death is over 80.

“Death rate is way, WAY beneath 1%. Studies have proven lockdowns are more dangerous than the virus, they don’t help.

“Masks are unnecessary and ineffective. Those living in fear are idiots, but you’re to blame.”

However, father-of-four Piers was having none of it and quickly fired back at the comedian.

“Hi Pat, are you familiar with the British phrase ‘c**k-womble’? If not, look in the mirror & you’ll see one staring back at you,” he replied.

Piers’ outburst comes after he admitted he’s been having awful nightmares recently.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, he said he was concerned that they may not be normal, saying: “It was a nightmare, it was, definitely. It was very weird. Now the dreams are getting odd.”

He went on: “Always when I feel like I’m under pressure. One where I’m on a beach where there’s a tidal wave and it gets bigger and bigger, and you run up the beach but you can’t get away.

“And another one is my teeth are falling out. That’s a more common one when you look these up, but it’s really weird.”

He asked Dr Hilary Jones if his dreams were normal, and while they seem to be, the cause could be something to worry about.

Dr Hilary explained: “It’s basically anxiety-driven fear, subconsciously you’re thinking something’s chasing me, and it’s due to stress and fear.”
