Ben Shephard aghast as 'evil' Tipping Point machine 'plays tricks' on players

TV presenter Ben Shepheard was stunned as the Tipping Point machine ‘played tricks’ on the contestants.

Thursday’s episode saw Sam and Georgie make it to the penultimate round, but luck wasn’t on their side as an array of ‘twists and turns’ left them frustrated.

Sam branded the machine ‘evil’ after a rare television moment as he attempted to win the cash prize.

He dropped a counter in the machine, only for it to hover momentarily on the edge of the first drop.

The coin then proceeded to land right on top of the other counters, so none of them were pushed over the Tipping Point.

Georgie exclaimed: “That’s so unlucky, and Sam said the machine was “evil”.

Ben remarked that the Tipping Point machine certainly “played tricks” during that round.

Sam didn’t make it through to the final round and was beaten by the machine.

Georgie was lucky enough to make it through and was in with the chance of winning the £10,000 jackpot.

She didn’t manage to win the jackpot prize, but went home with £2.2k after a tough final round.

Host Ben was left in hysterics during Tuesday’s instalment of the show as a player named Joe suffered a series of blunders.

Joe had been performing well, but he was left flustered after a mistake he made during his quick-fire questions.

Host Ben had asked him: “The goldfinch belongs to which winged class of animal?”

Joe quickly blurted out: “Fish?”, before suddenly realising his error as the correct answer was in fact, birds.

After his fish gaffe, the player proceeded to drop his counter far too quickly.

The counter landed on top of another, which meant no coins were pushed out of the machine.

Ben was left in fits of giggles as Joe attempted to recover from the mishap.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
