TOWIE’s Gemma Collins and Mario Falcone have led tributes to Sugar Hut boss Mick Norcross, who was found dead at his Essex home.
The 57-year-old and dad of Kirk passed away just hours after tweeting: “At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that is good enough.”
Only days earlier, Mick told his followers: “Wishing everyone a healthy, safe and relaxing Sunday in these uncertain times.”
Police were called to Mick’s home in Essex shortly before 3.15pm today and a doctor pronounced Mick dead at the scene.
His sudden death has left friends and family and cast of the reality TV show devastated.
Mario Falcone led the messages of support for the TOWIE favourite tweeting alongside a broken heart emoji: “RIP my friend.
“You were the perfect gentlemen and I am thankful I got the privilege of having you in my life.”
When he first heard the tragic news earlier today, the TV personality simply posted: “Shocked and heartbroken.”
Mick’s other former co-star Gemma Collins, whom he briefly dated, has also shared her thoughts for her old friend too, saying: “ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN.
“Absolutely shocked and saddened by the news. My thoughts and prayers are going out to Kirk family and friends absolutely tragic.
“#ripmicknorcross the memories of the early days the sugar hut and the wonderful filming parties you put on will never be forgotten.”
James Argent added: “A true gentleman & a very kind man! RIP Mick. Many amazing memories, So Sad! My thoughts are with his family.”
A former colleague wrote: “I am absolutely gutted to hear this news, my business rival in the 00’s, but such a well respected gentleman in the industry, shared many friends with Mick.
“There’s some very upset people tonight. Thoughts to his family,I’m truly very saddened, a good man.”
Other TOWIE stars followed Mario, Gemma and James, with Elliott Wright, who starred on the show over the course of seven years, leaving a broken heart in response to his tweet.
Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi did the same, and Mick’s friend and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn wrote: “A gentleman – god bless.”
Fans who often frequented The Sugar Hut – the Brentwood, Essex club he owned – were equally devastated.
Some shared pictures of them on hilarious nights out in the classy establishment, drinking and laughing with Mick.
Essex police said in a statement today: “We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January.
“Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
During the first few series of TOWIE Mick’s nightclub Sugar Hut was regularly featured.
The swanky venue was famous for wild parties and glamorous girls and often a focal point of TOWIE nights out.
But by 2013 Mick admitted he felt while the programme had raised the platform of the venue it was damaging the brand.
After leaving TOWIE in 2013, Mick went on to be a property developer.
