DOI's Holly Willoughby 'covers up' in floor-length gown after complaints

Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby has covered up in a floor-length gown after Ofcom complaints about her “inappropriate” dress from the launch show.

The blonde presenter, 39, found herself the topic of conversation last week after she ditched her bra in a seriously plunging pink gown.

While some fans of the show loved Holly’s floaty salmon-coloured, embellished dress, other viewers were unimpressed with her choice of attire saying that it wasn’t appropriate for the family TV show.

On the night, fans flooded social media with angry comments, with one person blasting: “Does Holly realise this is a family show?”

A second added: “Holly put them away,” while another gasped: “Holly is half undressed.”

Dancing on Ice received 341 complaints following the launch show which included Holly’s dress, Rufus Hound slamming the Tory government over their free school meals stance and the Covid-secure media setup.

However, for Sunday night’s show, the beauty opted for a stunning floor-length white gown.

It plunged down but ever so slightly to only reveal a glimpse of the beauty’s cleavage.

The corset-like piece also featured white feathers on the sleeves.

Fans rushed to comment on the dress., with one remarking: “Let’s see what people find to object about this dress,” followed by the emoji rolling its eyes.

“Luuuuv this dress.sooo beautiful and classy,” said another.

Making reference to today’s weather, one wrote: “You look snowy stunning.”

Holly is certainly no stranger to controversy when it comes to her outfits.

Back in 2013, she came up against critics after she’d rocked a seriously sexy emerald green dress on the final of The Voice UK.

The detailed frock with capped sleeves was skintight and boasted an incredibly daring and low cut neckline.

8.7million viewers tuned in for the BBC show’s final and Holly’s eye-popping clothing saw 139 complaints submitted to the Watchdog.

Last week, the first six couples took to the ice for their debut performances including, Jason Donovan, Denise van Outen, Rufus Hound, Rebekah Vardy, Joe-Warren Plant and Lady Leshurr.
