This Morning viewers were overjoyed to witness the return of Eamonn Holmes to the studio this morning, as he voiced a travel segment on the show.
Alongside his wife Ruth Langsford, the ITV star, 61, was recently replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary in hosting the Friday show.
The duo will continue to present during half-term breaks and summer holidays, but Eamonn reappeared on the show sooner than expected this week.
ITV dug through the archives to find old travel footage from the past, hoping to bring a splash of sunshine to the UK during the third nationwide lockdown.
Today’s travel footage saw culinary whizz Phil Vickery travel to Turks and Caicos, diving for sea crustaceans and getting to know the locals.

Eamonn narrated the entire trip, describing the scenery and guiding viewers through Phil’s experience of the tropical islands.
Ahead of the segment, Phillip Schofield plugged: “In our very own ‘Holiday 81’ series narrated by our very own Eamonn Holmes, we take a look back.”
As the sun-soaked footage began to play, Eamonn’s voice could be heard saying: “We thought we’d transport you to some of our favourite spots.
“It’s now time to sit back and relax.”

One said: “Nice to hear @EamonnHolmes narrating on this morning during @philvickerytv segment. Miss you @EamonnHolmes and @RuhieeL.”
“I miss @EamonnHolmes on #ThisMorning,” wrote a second.
And a third chimed: “And they even got Eamonn Holmes to do the voiceover! #ThisMorning.”

Having watched the segment, another wrote: “Thank you Eamonn, looks lovely there. Didn’t see these 1st time around as was working. Looking forwards to seeing more.”
Thankfully, Phil then confirmed there would be more travel voiceovers to come from Eamonn, saying: “We’ve got more of those narrated by Eamonn, who was a previous holiday presenter himself.”
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
