Great Celebrity Bake Off cast confirmed with Little Mix star and X Factor winner

The line up for the new series of Great Celebrity Bake Off has been announced.

The Channel 4 show will be returning this spring to help raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.

Bake Off revealed the line up of the show will be made up of huge stars including Hollywood A-lister James McAvoy, who played Charle Xavier in the X-Men series.

Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley will also be adding a touch of the big screen to the show.

Comedian John Bishop, who is set to star in the new series of Doctor Who, will also be battling it out in the kitchen.

He’ll be joined by fellow comics David Baddiel, Katherine Ryan, Rob Beckett and Tom Allen, who was previously a host during Noel Fielding’s paternity leave.

Athletes will be represented in the shape of double Olympic winner Dame Kelly Holmes and Paralympian Ade Adepitan MBE.

Bringing some musical talent to the tent, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall and Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle have also signed up.

Other singers on the bill will be former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, Dizzee Rascal and Anne-Marie, whose first single from her debut album went Platinum.

TV icon Anneka Rice will be gracing the famous kitchen alongside actor Reece Shearsmith, presenter and documentary maker Stacey Dooley and Radio 1 star, Nick Grimshaw.

The all-star line up will also be made up of internet sensation KSI, plus author and broadcaster Philippa Perry.

After the announcement was made, fans of the show took to social media to tell how they were stunned to hear the show will feature a huge name like James McAvoy.

One tweeted: “James McAvoy… doing Bake off… two very important worlds have collided and I think I need a lie down.”

While another commented: “Yes I will definitely watch James McAvoy bake scones.”

A third wrote: “I never knew I needed to see James McAvoy bake a cake until this very moment in time.”

Returning to both present and judge the show will be Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith and Matt Lucas.
