Tom Cruise branded 'a nightmare' as he vows to finish Mission Impossible film

Tom Cruise has reportedly been accused of being a “nightmare” over his determination to complete filming of the latest Mission Impossible film in the pandemic.

The Hollywood A-lister, 58, is hell-bent on finishing the film for bosses – whom he says are looking to the film to help revive the dwindling industry.

Filming recently wrapped in the UK and moved out to the United Arab Emirates.

However, the new travel ban now means that many staff working on the movie are concerned they won’t be able to get back home for months.

“Now many of the production team – especially the more junior staff who aren’t on big salaries – are up in arms and just want to go home,” a source told The Sun.

They go on to allege that morale on set has hit rock bottom.

One crew member claimed: “It feels like everything is against us at the moment.

“A lot of us would love to cut our losses and leave things for a while, then pick up when we can.”

Speaking about Tom, they added the actor and director is now “completely obsessed with finishing”.

They told the publication: “He’s the most determined person. It’s impressive, but a nightmare.”

Last year, audio leaked of Tom on set of Mission Impossible 7 letting rip at staff for not being two metres apart like guidelines demand.

The clip, which went viral, is understood to have been made at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, where filming was being undertaken.

Tom raged: “If I see you do it again, you’re f***ing gone. And if anyone in this crew does it, that’s it — and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever f***ing do it again.”

Tom is said to have shelled out thousands of pounds on ‘robots’ which will be able to give on-the-spot coronavirus tests to those working on the film.

A source told The Sun: “Tom is so serious about making sure the shoot isn’t shut down that he’s splashed out on these robots as he can’t be everywhere to ensure people are behaving themselves.

“Yes, the rant that came out last month may have been a bit over the top, but he was right, and those who saw the story sympathised with him.”
