Jason Donovan wants to be the new Simon Cowell.
The singer, 52, hopes his stint on Dancing On Ice will help him land a job as a judge on a TV show like Britain’s Got Talent.
Jason said: “I’d like to do something like judging.
“I love those sort of shows, like The Voice and Britain’s Got Talent.”
The former Neighbours star reckons he is the perfect person to offer wannabe performers advice because he’s been in showbiz for so long.
During a career spanning more than four decades he has had No1 songs, film roles and a string of telly hits.

He said: “I think I have the ability to make an informed decision over whether or not a contestant has talent or is going to be the next big thing in the industry.
“Being a judge would be a fun role.”
Jason had a brief stint on a panel in 2012 on ITV series Superstar.
But his message to TV chiefs is likely to spark interest from numerous channels wanting him to do a much bigger show this time around.

The Australian star is keen to land work after a string of his projects were cancelled because of the pandemic.
Dancing On Ice has been a godsend for him.
He said: “It has been tough for our industry.
“It has been tough for theatre, for concerts, for festivals, and it will continue to be a challenge.”
Jason has been paired with pro skater Alexandra Schauman on Dancing On Ice.
In Sunday night’s show they will perform to disco classic Don’t Leave Me This Way, which he previously sang while starring in Priscilla Queen Of The Desert in the West End.
