Alex Beresford has revealed he’s self-isolating after his ex wife and son’s mother tested positive for coronavirus.
The 40-year-old Good Morning Britain weather presenter, who shares custody of his son with his ex wife Natalia, is taking time off work after her Covid-19 diagnosis.
Alex took to Twitter to announce he’s staying at home with his son as he told fans they haven’t got any symptoms.
He shared a tweet with his 67.1k followers which said: “Over the weekend my son’s mother tested positive for coronavirus. As he moves between households I will now be self-isolating with my son who came to stay with me this weekend.

“Currently we don’t have any symptoms. First and foremost we wish Natalia a speedy recovery.”
Alex also wrote on social media while staying at home: “No @Tesco delivery slots in my area until 9th Feb, no click and collection until Thursday. Isolation problems!”
The media personality hosts the weather forecast on Good Morning Britain every Thursday and Friday.
He’s also co-hosted the show an array of times.

Alex’s announcement comes three weeks after the star took to social media to reveal he was ‘feeling groggy’ after undergoing a tonsillectomy.
This is when both tonsils are removed from the throat.
Posted a selfie from his hospital bed, Alex penned: “Tonsillectomy Completed! Feeling groggy! All remedies welcome.”
In October 2020, Alex took to Twitter to tell fans he couldn’t co-host GMB as he felt ‘unwell’.

He tweeted: “BREAKING: Due to having a cold and feeling unwell I won’t be hosting @gmb tomorrow or Friday.
“In normal circumstances, I’d power through, however with things getting worse we don’t need any more germs flying around the studio.”
Alex’s time off of GMB comes after his co-star Charlotte Hawkins returned after she self-isolated for 10 days.
She had come into contact with the virus and was forced to stay at home.
On Monday Charlotte clarified that it was a ‘legal requirement’ to self-isolate once you had been contacted by the NHS via the Test & Trace app.
She wrote: “There seems to be a worrying amount of misinformation on here about self-isolation. It’s a legal requirement to self-isolate if you’re contracted by NHS Test & Trace, or if you test positive.
“It’s not a choice, it’s your responsibility to do it properly to protect those around you.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
