Charlie Condou has previously played fan-favourite Marcus Dent on the hit northern soap Coronation Street.
The ITV star has now revealed he fears contracting long Covid after sharing he has been experiencing intense pain following his battle with the virus.
The worrying post saw Charlie seek advice from his followers on social media, as he worried the symptoms he was experiencing meant something much more serious.
The 48-year-old told his fans he was convinced he’d managed to contract long Covid, a condition in which survivors of the virus continue to suffer symptoms weeks or even months after initial diagnosis.

The actor admitted he has been really struggling with the pain since he first caught the virus last year, and has even lost the use of his thumb and forefinger in a terrifying twist of fate.
Charlie still hasn’t managed to regain the use of his fingers and decided it was time to plead for information and advice from fans who may have gone through the same thing.
Wondering whether permanent nerve damage was a common symptom in terms of long Covid, he asked: “I’ve been suffering from something that is looking more and more like long Covid since October.
“But since Christmas Eve I’ve had incredible pain in my arm and have lost the use of my thumb/forefinger.”

“Has anyone heard of nerve damage in relation to long Covid?” the star added.
Fans took to the comments on Charlie’s Twitter page to share their thoughts.
One person said: “Charlie I’ve also currently got this in my left arm – the doctor diagnosed this on the phone as frozen shoulder/capsulitis – the pain is excruciating.
“But now reading this wondering if it’s something else?”

“I never had a positive test (was sick back in March 2020) but have long covid,” another posted. “I have nerve pain in my left arm and leg and pins and needles in my left hand and left foot.”
“Yes I have the same thing, intense pain in my arm, was wondering if it was long Covid too,” a third agreed.
While a fourth noted her brother had also faced a similar experience.
Fans continued to share their support and well-wishes for the star.
