TOWIE's Tommy Mallet is raking in millions from luxury trainer brand

The Only Way Is Essex regular Tommy Mallet has turned himself into one of the most successful British reality TV stars thanks to his footwear brand.

Tommy, 28, has seen his footwear brand’s net worth skyrocket to a staggering £3.5million.

In official documents filed by the company, the turnover of his trainer company has risen from £800,000 to over £3 million.

Tommy’s company, named Mallet after his surname, launched in 2015.

Since then he’s been razor-focused on making the start-up a success.

Documents reveal that Tommy has even decided not to take large dividend payments from the business, instead opting to keep the capital in the company.

In 2020 he is thought not to have paid himself, though opted to pay himself and his co-owner Evren Ozkarakasli £50,000 each the previous year.

Mallet employs six staffmembers – three focused on admin, while a further three on marketing, sales and distribution.

The Sun add that Mallet’s tax bill alone was a hefty £700,000.

The luxury footwear is now stocked at upmarket department store Selfridges across the UK.

Tommy’s success story is all the more impressive thanks to the fact he left school without any GCSEs.

Speaking frankly about his story, Tommy told Femail: “I feel like at one point in my life I definitely could have had the potential to go down the wrong path but ultimately, I knew that I wanted to do things the right way and to succeed.

“So staying on the right track was important to me.”

The Essex businessman reflected: “When I was younger I never had enough money to buy a pair of trainers that I genuinely liked because they were all so expensive, so I put pen to paper and decided to design something similar.

“We went from having a £50,000 turnover at the end of our first year to having a turnover of around £2.5 million towards the end of our second year.”

Tommy went on to add that he isn’t worried about being labelled a reality star in the long run, despite his business credentials.

Away from his career, Tommy’s personal life is also going from strength to strength.

He is set to become a father with girlfriend Georgia Kousoulou when she gives birth in May.

The couple took to Instagram to confirm they are having a baby boy in a sweet gender reveal.
