Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asgahri has finally spoken out after years of claims by the star’s loyal fans that the pop icon’s conservatorship should come to an end.
Over the past few years, the Free Britney movement has grown into a global effort by fans and celebs alike for the Toxic hitmaker to be released from the controversial legal hold which is presided over by Britney’s dad Jamie Spears.
Despite the online backlash Jamie has received from the singer’s fans, Sam has opted to keep a dignified silence on the topic until now.
Updating his Instagram story on Tuesday, Sam wrote: “Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control out relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way.

“In my opinion Jamie is a total d***.”
He added: “I won’t be going into details because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.”
A rep for Britney Spears has been contacted by Daily Star for comment.
Sam’s comment comes just days after The New York Times released forensic documentary Framing Britney which focuses on Britney’s conservatorship.

Britney was placed into the legal hold in 2008 after her public breakdown – with reports at the time claiming it was only a temporary fix for her father to help get her back to her best.
However, over a decade on, Britney is still in the conservatorship and her conservator Jamie has the legal right to oversee and control most aspects of her life.
Last year, Britney filed court documents trying to remove her father from being the conservator.

So far, the courts have declined to grant the request though the case is ongoing.
Last year Jamie slammed Free Britney campaigners as “conspiracy theorists”.
He told US publication Page Six: “All these conspiracy theorists don’t know anything. The world don’t have a clue.
“It’s up to the court of California to decide what’s best for my daughter. It’s no one else’s business.”
Slamming claims he is cashing in on his daughter, Jamie added: “I have to report every nickel and dime spent to the court every year.
“How the hell would I steal something?
“I love my daughter. I love all my kids. But this is our business. It’s private.”
Speaking in the New York Times documentary, Britney’s long-term assistant and friend Felicia Culotta instead she thinks when the time is right, the starlet will speak out herself.
She said: “At some point, she will tell her story.
“I know she will and I am so grateful for when that point comes.
“To be honest, I didn’t then, nor do I now, understand what a conservatorship is, especially for somebody Britney’s age and somebody capable of so much.”
