GMB's Ranvir Singh steps in as Lorraine Kelly takes break from ITV talk show

Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh has announced that she’s filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her ITV talk show this week.

The 43-year-old political editor has stepped in to replace the Scottish presenter as she enjoys a well-deserved break from presenting duties.

Lorraine has taken the week off to spend the half-term holidays with her husband Steve.

Ranvir will host all five episodes of the talk show this week, much to the delight of viewers.

Fans of the show rushed to their keyboards to share their joy as Ranvir appeared on their screens.

Taking to Twitter, one fans penned: “I really like @ranvir01. She just oozes elegance but warmth, empathy but professionalism.”

It’s not the first time mother-of-one Ranvir has stepped in to host ITV daytime show Lorraine.

ITV viewers were also shocked to find Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid replaced on Good Morning Britain by Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard on Monday.

Piers, 55, and Susanna, 50, announced last week that they were taking some time off from hosting the ITV breakfast show.

Ben, 45, and Kate, 53, were on presenting duty this morning and fans took to social media to react to the presenter switch-up.

While a third fan said: “Yay Kate and Ben on GMB on a Monday.”

ITV often pull in different stars to fill in for the main hosts when they take holidays.

Lorraine, 61, has previously been replaced by Ranvir, Loose Women host Christine Lampard and television personality Andy Peters.

While the likes of Sean Fletcher, Charlotte Hawkins, Alex Beresford and Adil Ray often stand in for Piers and Suanna on GMB as well as Ben and Kate.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will fill in for This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield all this week.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 9pm
