Model Chrissy Teigen, 35, has been incredibly open about her personal struggles with endometriosis and her battle with her body.
The brunette beauty, who is married to singer John Legend, 42, stripped off to show the extent of her scarred body on her social media.
Posing nude in the mirror at home, the star covered up her modesty as she showed how her body is recovering from an operation she had on February 4 for endometriosis.
Chrissy’s condition means that she has tissue similar to the lining of the womb growing in other places, as well as facing other struggles with her periods and risks to pregnancy.
Revealing the marks she’s still got post-op, Chrissy showed how she’s covered in plasters as well as the scars under her breasts from her reduction last year.
The new author captioned her Instagram story: “Happy Valentine’s Day.
“Love yourself! B***h has been through it.”
Recovery has been difficult for Chrissy, who recently spoke about her struggles with the pain after her op.
Ahead of the surgery, the star admitted she was feeling really down as it coincided with what would have been her expected due date.
“My little jack would have been born this week so I’m a bit off,” she told her fans at the time. “I truly feel kicks in my belly, but it’s not phantom.
“I have surgery for endometriosis tomorrow…but the period feeling this month is exactly like baby kicks. sigh.”
Chrissy and John lost their baby Jack in a devastating miscarriage back in September, after the mum-of-two was rushed to hospital with complications.
Sharing a series of black and white images as she tried to illustrate how they were coping with the unimaginable loss, Chrissy said at the time she and John were in the kind of “deep pain” they’ve never felt before and you only “hear about”.
“To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you,” she said in a heartbreaking post to her lost baby.
The couple announced their pregnancy in August after being married for seven years.
Jack would have been Chrissy and John’s third child, and they also have daughter Luna and son Miles.
