Carol Vorderman says she was messaged by men and women on celeb dating app

Former Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman followed in the footsteps of many other celebrities before her and joined exclusive dating app, Raya.

The 60-year-old bombshell says she was inundated with messages from men and women when she enjoyed a brief stint on the app.

Carol told The Sun: “‘A mate of mine said it would be a laugh. A lot of LA people made contact, men and women funnily enough, but it’s not my scene.

“I’m quite happy with my usual way of doing things. But life is never dull.”

Raya costs £7.99 a month to subscribe to and users of the app must go through a strict vetting system ahead of connecting with the app’s stars.

Other celebrities previously linked to the dating app include comedian Jack Whitehall and former One Direction star Harry Styles.

Carol, who recently said she was happy as a “badly behaved singleton”, previously shut down the idea of trying out a dating app.

She told Closer in 2018: “Can you imagine if I was on Tinder? My God.”

Carol Vorderman has often spoken openly about her love life

Carol previously told MailOnline she has “special friends” but she is not officially dating anyone.

She shared: “I’m very happy, I have no complaints. I am not dating anyone, I have special friends. Special friends. Plural.”

Carol also opened up about growing more confident with age.
