Dancing on Ice stars Joe-Warren Plant and Vanessa Bauer hugged as they left their Covid isolation – and now fans want them to be allowed to re-join the show.
Joe, 18, and Vanessa, 24, were devastated after being forced to withdraw from the ITV programme earlier this month after both testing positive.
The duo then spent 10 days in a hotel and finally got to leave their rooms behind.
They had high hopes for the skating series and since their departure fans have been calling on bosses to make a U-turn and invite them back on.
But there doesn’t seem to be good news coming their way yet – despite the show’s contestant crisis.

They made the most of their newfound freedom and the pals held on to a long cuddle after leaving self-isolation.
“They hugged for ages, it looked like they might not let go,” an onlooker told The Sun of the pals.
The pair later shared a sweet selfie together, with pro skater Vanessa saying: “At least I wasn’t alone in this.”

Vanessa took to Instagram to share a lengthy post and said she was just loving being outside again after enjoying a run.
She beamed that the pair are now “back in the real world” and said they are fighting fit.
“After 10 days in a hotel room with Covid we are back in the real world,” she wrote on social media.

“We are both healthy physically and mentally and although the shock is still there also after missing one show it can now only go upwards...
“10 days ago Joe and I got that call whilst training on the ice.
“It was a super busy day as usual, travelling on the train from Blackpool to London, training in the studio.
“Then travelling to another London ice rink to train even more with interviews in our car journeys and then all of a sudden at the end of the day we found ourselves in the hotel where we then spent the past 10 days.

“It was a shock and it’s still hard to understand as to why this had to happen to us… we had the time of our lives and it ended just like that.”
She went on: “I am naturally such a positive person and I’m sure it all makes sense in the end, for now I am grateful to be healthy…
“At least I wasn’t alone in this and I got to work on my handstands. Thank you for your kind messages throughout this time.”
