Love Island presenter and TV personality Caroline Flack tragically took her own life on February 15 last year.
The 40-year-old star had been a favourite in the industry, and went hand in hand with the hugely-popular reality dating show.
But in the last several months before her death, Caroline suffered immensely from online trolling and abuse, and her mum Christine Flack has now accused social media companies of failing to “protect anybody”.
A new Channel 4 documentary is set to tell the story of the late star’s life, her struggles with her mental health, and what led to her death.

Speaking ahead of the new one-off special’s release, Christine spoke about the role social media had in her daughter’s life and how it contributed to her struggle.
The star’s mum said: “When I was young, if you were bullied at school you could get away from it.
“You can’t get away from it now because it follows you home, it follows you on your phone.

“Carrie was the worst one, she would look at her phone all the time.
“It took her over, what was being said on there,” Christine went on sadly.
“There could be 30 nice things said, one bad thing said, and that was it.”
Angry over the impact it had on her daughter, Christine said she thinks companies should be prepared to take action over online abuse against celebrities and the general public too.
She explained: “They are making so much money, it is not that there’s a lack of money or profits will suffer.”
“Someone’s got to take a responsibility somewhere for it,” Christine added.
Caroline Flack: Her Life And Death features various interviews from the presenter’s friends and family.
Singer and the star’s former co-host on Xtra Factor Olly Murs will be taking part, and This Morning presenter Dermot O’Leary will also share his tributes to her in the doc.
Caroline’s twin sister Jody has also filmed interviews for the programme.
Caroline Flack: Her Life And Death will be broadcast on Wednesday on Channel 4 at 9pm.
