TOWIE's Amy Childs says trolling is getting worse as she vows to ignore the hate

TOWIE favourite Amy Childs thinks internet trolling has got worse than ever.

The reality star has seen the nasty culture of online abuse explode since she found fame back in 2010.

Amy said: “Every-one knows things so quickly now with camera phones.

“And people can say their opinion anywhere and it’ll be seen. You just need to be a strong person and ignore some of the hate.

“My mum would say to me, ‘If you haven’t got something good to say then don’t say it’.”

If Piers Morgan had been given that advice he might still have a job!

Amy refuses to let keyboard warriors stop her enjoying telly fame and she’s back on The Only Way Is Essex.

The show returns for a new series tonight at 9pm on ITVBe.

She said: “There will be the usual drama. I’ll be keeping calm in the middle of it all.

“When we are filming we can’t hug or be close to each other.

“But I’m so excited just to be out and seeing people again. So I am still enjoying it.”

Amy took a break from the series in 2011, starring in her own spin-off show It’s All About Amy, which lasted for one season on Channel 5.

Last year, Amy returned to TOWIE to celebrate the show’s 10-year anniversary, making a spectacular comeback along with original star Bobby Norris and her cousin Harry Derbridge.

She added: “For those that haven’t gone back, I think it’s sad.

“Our lives are different now, yes, but we owe all that to Towie and the least we can do is celebrate that.”
