Last year Phillip Schofield and his wife Stephanie decided to live separately after he bravely came out to the nation, prompting the This Morning presenter to buy his own home.
Having lived with his wife and two daughters Ruby and Molly in their enormous Oxfordshire mansion in the countryside for years, Phil opted for a completely different bachelor pad in the city.
Worth £2million, Phil’s new West London two-bedroom house is centrally located and an easy commute to work at ITV’s studios where the TV personality resides alongside Holly Willoughby four days a week.
With the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the world last March, the Dancing on Ice presenter’s plans to move forward were somewhat halted too.
Despite getting a new place, Phil chose to spend much of last year in isolation at his old home so he could spend quality time with his family.
Claims also surfaced that the star planned to convert the garage into his own private residence so he and Steph could have their own quarters.
What do we know so far about Phil’s London home?
Where is Phil’s new flat?
Phil’s new abode is in Chiswick, which is a very affluent area of West London.
The star’s pad is really close to The Thames, and is also not far from fellow ITV presenter Declan Donnelly’s home.
It is also near to Ant McPartlin’s former home with ex-wife Lisa Armstrong, and Phil even lived in Chiswick decades ago when he first met his wife.
But perhaps one of the biggest reasons for Phil choosing to set up home in the area was due to his co-star and close friend Holly Willoughby also living nearby.
The pair have even been seen setting off on a leisurely bike ride from the presenter’s front door, proving they enjoy each other’s company even on their days off.
How has Phil decorated his new home?
Phil has so far opted for a chic and classy neutral design in his house.
Creams cover the walls, and greys and silvers line the furnishings, as the presenter has two relatively plain sofas in his living room.
Both seeming quite firm seating areas, the star’s Instagram stories have gradually teased tiny details about his choice of furniture.
One of the sofas is a soft linen, whereas the other one is slightly darker and features a jazzy black and white animal print cushion.
He has also revealed the main reception room features an elegant white fireplace and some candles on the mantelpiece, all topped off with a bold vintage clock on the wall.
Phil’s living room also features an ashy wooden coffee table, and silver privacy blinds on the bay windows.
The presenter’s kitchen is equally low-key, decorated with white matching cupboards and worktops, but a large black and white wall painting in a silver frame standing out among the calm.
In a cheeky twist, Phil showed a little bit more of his taste in decor when a quirky chalkboard appeared in the background of another one of his selfies – where it was written in bold handwriting “Drink more gin!”

Phil previously divulged his style secrets on This Morning to guest host Rochelle Humes.
“I probably shouldn’t say this anyway,” he joked, revealing how he gets his decor ideas, “but this time of the year, when the nights are really dark, when everyone has got their curtains open and you can look into everyone’s houses, you walk up the street and go ‘That’s nice wallpaper… Ooh, I like those curtains.'”
What are the key differences between Phil’s houses?
The main difference in Phil’s choice of decorating is that of colour.
The family’s large Oxfordshire home features pops of jewel tones with emerald green and sapphire blue, and is teamed with luxury velvets and unusual prints.
The Henley abode is also largely decorated in a rustic vibe, with plenty of French styles and light distressed woods.
Another photo from the star’s former living room does show that his new grey sofa is remarkably similar to the old one though, which could hint he bought the new piece from the same furniture seller.
What’s more, there are a number of wood pieces very similar to his new coffee table, seen in some of the presenter’s recent Instagram images.
Is Phil planning to live in his new bachelor pad forever?
There’s a chance that the This Morning staple’s London home could have been a quick fix to give him and wife Steph some space after the news in February 2020.
According to The Sun’s reports that Phil had planned to convert his Oxfordshire property’s garage last year, they were actually a little more extensive.
The publication said a source had actually claimed the new annexe would be a large two-bedroom home.
The insider detailed plans for a sprawling kitchen, lounge, two bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom, suggesting Phil wanted a comfy and spacious zone where he knew he could always be close to his kids.
The source added that the garage’s “existing storage openings” would be replaced with light and airy floor-to-ceiling windows.
Phil’s Oxfordshire mansion has been a labour of love for the married couple over the years, and despite their change in circumstances the property seems likely to stay in both of their lives for the foreseeable future.

During lockdown, the presenter regularly posted snaps of magnificent views from his windows, with many featuring glowing sunsets and of course the county of Oxfordshire’s gorgeous countryside.
Phil also shared pictures of himself enjoying hazy summer evenings in the garden with his beloved family.
In one capture he depicted a golden orange sunset, as he captioned it simply: “Well that’s pretty.”
The star appeared to spend a lot of time in his enormous outdoor space as social distancing and the stay at home order continued on in 2020.

In another video, Phil shared an insight into his tree-cutting skills, complete with a glistening red face and chainsaw in hand, and in other tours he showed Instagram followers the family’s roaring fire pit and their blooming wisteria bushes.
Despite what is an ongoing and tricky process to navigate following Phil and Steph’s split, the family still seemed to be having a whale of a time isolating together – holding their own murder mystery nights and numerous barbecues.
Fans will have to wait and see if the presenter chooses to reside in London full-time when the restrictions start to lift in the spring, or if the plans for a huge add-on home in Oxfordshire materialise for the Schofields.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
