Ex- One Direction superstar Liam Payne has left fans baffled by his new lockdown locks.
The singer took to Twitter to share a video clip of himself out walking in a park with his lustrous brunette locks flowing to his neck, with plenty of facial scruff to go with it.
With hair salons closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, it’s no surprise Liam’s locks have gotten a little out of hand.
In the video he said he was on his way to the shops – face mask in hand – and realised that he has surpassed 5 billion streams.
“How crazy is that? Wild stuff!” he said.
“All there is left to say really is a humongous, massive, ginormous thank you to all you guys who are listening, and keep listening! Thanks!”
Some even thought there were similarities between Liam and Jesus.
“Petition for you to never cut your hair!” one fan declared.
Another said: “Jesus Liam stans rise!”
Others thought he bore more of a resemblance to Supernatural’s Sam Winchester, played by Jared Padalecki.
One fan attached an artist’s impression of Christ himself, and there’s definitely something spooky about seeing the pair side by side!
Others weren’t quite as keen; one wondered: “Liam babe what happened to your curls?” and added a picture of Liam in his teen heart-throb days.
Another asked: “Are Liam and Louis trying to compete in a longest-hair contest or?”
They attached a photo of fellow One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, who had similarly sprouted a moustache and beard in lockdown, with his shaggy hair arranged artfully around his face.
Many more congratulated Liam on his massive achievement.
One said: “Congrats Li! That’s what you deserve and more, I can’t wait for more […] Happy to see your face again, I’m so proud of you!”
Another added: “You deserve more than that king! Congratulations @LiamPayne, hope you are enjoying your break.”
