Sharon Osbourne is reportedly refusing to budge from her role on The Talk unless she is paid “tens of millions”.
The 68-year-old television star has recently come under fire after she defended Piers Morgan following his dramatic departure from Good Morning Britain.
She was then further embroiled in controversy amid allegations that she directed racist remarks at a co-host, a claim which she denies.
Sharon’s talk show has been put on hold by television bosses until the end of March as a result – but Sharon is remaining resilient about retaining her role.
According to The Sun, an insider close to Ozzy Osbourne’s wife revealed that Sharon wants the popular show to move forward.
The insider told the publication: “She is furious about the slew of accusations made about her and is refusing to bow to the mounting pressure to leave.
“As far as she is concerned, she apologised over the on-air debate and hasn’t done anything else wrong.
The source added: “She has a contract and they will have to pay her off if they want her to leave and that will cost them tens of millions. If bosses expect her to go quietly, they have got another thing coming.
“It has formed a rift behind the scenes of the show but Sharon has made it crystal clear that she wants to put this behind her and carry on.”
A representative for Sharon has been approached by the Daily Star for comment.
Sharon was initially met with backlash following an on-air race row with The Talk’s host Sheryl Underwood.
Sheryl claimed that Sharon “gave validation” to the ex-Good Morning Britain presenter’s “racist” views.

Sharon has since taken to social media and apologised, writing: “To anyone of colour that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry.
She added: “I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive & allowed my fear & horror of being accused of being racist take over.”
However, another report later emerged on SubStack, which claimed that Sharon allegedly used racist language toward co-stars on the show.
While CBS had already launched an investigation into the show prior to the latest allegations, the channel has now extended the hiatus even further as they look into the claims.
