Inside Kate Garraway's £1.5m net worth as Good Morning Britain presenter

Kate Garraway is a regular on Good Morning Britain, where she presents alongside Ben Shephard.

The 53-year-old has had an incredibly difficult year, with husband Derek Draper being admitted to intensive care after contracting coronavirus in March 2020.

His battle is thought to be one of the longest in the UK, and he is still in hospital.

On Tuesday night, Kate appeared in ITV documentary Kate Garraway: Finding Derek, where she shared Derek”s heartbreaking health battle with viewers.

In the documentary, Kate shared that Derek has lost eight stone since he has been in hospital, as he remains in a critical state.

Kate has been continuing her presenting duties while also looking after their children Darcey, 14 and Billy, 11.

Kate Garraway has an estimated net worth of £1.5million, according to wealth website Celeb Worth.

Her yearly salary is estimated to be a whopping £544,000, which largely comes from her work with ITV.

Kate began her career in radio, starting working at BBC Radio Oxford as a journalist in 1994.

After making the transition to TV, she started working for ITV’s Meridian, ITV News Central and BBC News 24.

She became a household name when she joined the presenting team of GMTV in 2000.

She continued hosting ITV Breakfast when GMTV switched to Daybreak in 2011.

When the show switched to Good Morning Britain in 2014, she joined the main presenting line-up.

In addition to presenting on Good Morning Britain, Kate also has her own show on Smooth Radio.

Kate also appeared on the fifth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2007m and was partnered with Anton Du Beke, finishing in eighth place.

The TV presenter also took part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019, and is thought to have pocketed about £50,000 from the experience.
