Bernie Ecclestone's daughter slams Harry and Meghan for 'doing interviews'

Bernie Ecclestone’s daughter Petra Ecclestone has always had Meghan Markle’s back – until recently, that is.

It seems the 32-year-old had now opted for a change of heart claiming that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to have their cake and eat it too when it came to matters surrounding privacy.

The billionaire heiress claims that she had in the past “always tried to stand up” for the former Suits star but this time her cage had been rattled.

Petra ultimately felt annoyed that the Royal pair had participated in “interviews” after expressing the need for privacy when starting up their new lives in the United States.

Speaking to the MailOnline about Meghan, she said: “I always tried to stand up for her.”

Petra went on: “Harry and Meghan did have the freedom to leave [the Royal Family] if they really didn’t want that life.

“But, on the other hand, they said they wanted privacy and they didn’t want to be famous and they didn’t want to do interviews — but all they’ve done since is basically do interviews.”

These comments made by the daughter of the former CEO of Formula One land in the wake of Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, which has since caused a divide and much upset.

During the open discussion with the American chat show host, Meghan touched on a number of very serious claims, including one remark about “how dark” her son Archie’s skin would be.

Reflecting, the actress, who is expecting her second child, told Oprah that she had a number of concerns for her unborn son Archie at the time.

She said: “In those months when I was pregnant … we have in tandem the conversation of ‘He won’t be given security.

‘He’s not going to be given a title,’ and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

At which point Oprah’ stance completely changes as she asked: “Who is having that conversation?”

Avoiding the question, The Duchess replied: “That was relayed to me from Harry from conversations that family had with him.”
