Good Morning Britain weather girl Lucy Verasamy has shared a picture of her donning a tartan flat cap as she joined a campaign in raising awareness of brain tumours.
Teaming up with Brain Tumour Research for their “wear a hat day” fundraiser, the ITV presenter kept the rest of her outfit casual and all black to really show off her hat choice.
Posting the snap to her Instagram stories, Lucy, 40, wrote: “It’s wear a hat day #wearahatday @braintumourrsch.”
The weather reporter then added underneath: “Thanks for raising this cause @edwinaibbotson,” next to two heart emojis.
Lucy chose a very Peaky Blinders-style hat, on a day when the charity asked the nation to “get your thinking caps on for one of the UK’s best-loved fundraising events”.
Brain Tumour Research’s official website also states: “Since we first launched Wear A Hat Day in 2010, it has raised over £2 million to help us fund crucial ‘discovery’ research at our UK Centres of Excellence.
“As well as support our vital campaigning activity as we continue to influence UK governments and larger cancer charities to invest more in research nationally.
“There is still much more to be done to find a cure, so please sign up now and plan your fundraising event for Wear A Hat Day 2021.”
The popular weather forecaster hasn’t posted on her social media since January when she shared a killer snap of her wearing a stunning floral ruffled dress.
Lucy was taking a break from work at the time, as she took the selfie in one of the ITV corridors.
Sporting a bouncy blow-dry and wearing smoky eye make-up and a nude lip, the brunette star looked flawless from head-to-toe.

She captioned the picture: “Work lights do wonders on these dark evenings @itvnews.”
Before that, the gorgeous presenter wowed her followers in a Christmassy outfit for a rare glam picture back in December.
Lucy’s form-fitting white dress was covered in beautiful little white feathers.
“Oh la la. Festive fluff,” the cheeky star teased the snap.
